Elena Governo
Elena GovernoElena Governo, originally a painter and painting restorer, was born in Milan, on April 2nd, 1978. After studying at the secondary school, she attended an experimental visual and performing arts high school in Varese, where she began to develop a classical style, soon incorporating echoes of the past grandeurs of Italian art. She received her painting BA at Brera Fine Arts Academy and her MA at the Sant'Erlembardo Centre of Graphic arts. After graduating, she has attended a large number of workshops at the Edinburgh Printmakers in Edinburgh, Scotland, getting her hands on the latest acrylic-based techniques and safety-related issues. After 2004, Elena has been working and printing in London, Edinburgh, Padua and Japan, amassing experience and equipment, after which she returned to Milan to begin this venture. She exhibited in Italy and abroad and has won several major awards. He has a wide experience of teaching printmaking on art courses at many levels in Further and Higher Education.
